A chestnut son of Kentucky Bear out of the Closing Argument mare Van Lew, Sevencomingout, bred in Ontario by Bear Stables Ltd., went 2-1-2 from 24 starts over his racing career.

Now 11, Sevencomingout, rehomed by Southern Belle Thoroughbreds, has made the jump from the racetrack to the show ring for his owner Acacia Gifford.

“I started retraining Fawkes (new name) as a show jumper and we went up to 1.10m and now we’re going to go up the levels eventing. He’s a star cross country and if he’s ever unsure about a fence, he just jumps it bigger! This winter he came to Aiken, SC, with me for a working student job and our goal for this summer is testing my B2 Pony Club level. He’s such a goofy, quirky horse that once you figure him out you can’t help but love him to bits.” – Acacia Gifford
