(Sam-Son Farm Press Release) May 28, 2025 – Soaring Free, one of Sam-Son Farm’s beloved champions, passed away today from health complications at Ocala Farm. The 26-year-old Soaring Free was a winner of $2.1 million over his career, a 15-time winner and Horse of the Year in Canada in 2024. Trained by Mark Frostad and cared for by his long-time groom Tracy Smith, he was a barn faovourite. Retired by Sam-Son Farm after racing, he enjoyed competing with anyone in his paddock, remaining undefeated to all comers. He will be buried at the farm in Ocala, where his legacy will live on.
