Clocker Report: Horses to watch this weekend

​TORONTO, April 27 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri will comment on some of the top workouts watched by the clocking team, highlighting horses to key on in upcoming races at Woodbine.

Saturday, Race 6 – Afleet Connection
Ernie said: "On April 14, Afleet Connection worked out of the gate in :48.20 outworking first timers Surely Dimple (:48.60) and Cool and Stormy (:49.20.) Alternate play to the favorite. Just after the harrow break, track rated 3.5."
Saturday, Race 7 – Aye Aye Captain
Ernie said: "On April 22, Aye Aye Captain Worked in :59.80 and out in 1:13. Aye Aye Captain Worked behind a pair of stablemates with Da Silva up and closed 6 to 8 lengths to finish in front. Before the break times generally slower. Track rated 2.5."
Race 9, Saturday – Gliding By
Ernie said: "On April 22, Gliding By went in 1:01.20 and out in 1:13.80. Contreras aboard worked nice and easy.
Track rated 2.5"
Sunday, Race 8 (Fury Stakes) – Cindervella
Ernie said: "On April 23, Cindervella Worked in 1:01b and out in 1:13.60. Worked very easy before the break
on an even track rated 3."
