Clocker Report: Horses to watch this weekend

June 14, 2019

TORONTO, June 14, 2019 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri comments on some of the top workouts watched, highlighting horses to key in on for upcoming races at Woodbine.

[Track ratings based on a scale of 1-5 with ‘1’ being the slowest.]

Friday, Race 8 – Just Shoot Already

Just Shoot Already is a first-time starter that has been moving well in the mornings for Michael Wright. His works have not been fast from a time stand point, but he has looked good. The work on May 12 was sharp in 1:01 from the gate.

Saturday, Race 6 – Wake Up Maggie

Wake Up Maggie, trained by Harold Ladouceur, has outworked her mate in her last couple with Justin Stein aboard. Her last work was in a quick :46.60, galloping out well.

Sunday, Race 5 – Clear Destination

Clear Destination worked for Ashlee Brnjas on June 9 in :48 breezing, beating two other workmates that went :49. He comes in from the tough Churchill circuit for a hot stable.

Sunday, Race 7 – Cabertoss

Cabertoss worked for Rachel Halden on June 9 in :46, outworking Nipigon (:46.40), who is in stakes action this weekend. He has been working consistently since April.
