Clocker Report: Horses to watch this weekend

June 5, 2020

TORONTO, June 5, 2020 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri comments on some of the top workouts watched, highlighting horses to key in on for upcoming races at Woodbine.

Saturday, Race 4 – Candy’s Dream

Candy’s Dream worked for Terry Brooker in :47.40 on May 30 out-working Miss Verrazano (:47.60). She previously worked in :59.40 out-working the same mate by five. This is a bit of a tough spot, just looking for this one to sneak into the exotics at a price.

Saturday, Race 6 – Souper Smart

Souper Smart worked for Martin Drexler in :47 very easily on May 31, about five off the fence. His previous work in :46 was super.

Saturday, Race 9 – Amalfi Coast

Amalfi Coast worked for Kevin Attard on May 30 in :4. One word: Brilliant.

Saturday, Race 10 – Fact Checking

Fact Checking worked for Ian Howard on May 30 with Justin Stein aboard in :59.40, out in 1:12.20, which should set her up for a nice rally.

Sunday, Race 4 – Marshall Rabil

Marshall Rabil worked for Mark Casse on May 30 with Kazushi Kimura aboard in :47.20 in company with Jumping Jill Flash. Went pretty easy. May be a decent price.
