June 19, 2020

TORONTO, June 19, 2020 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri comments on some of the top workouts watched, highlighting horses to key in on for upcoming races at Woodbine.

Saturday, Race 6 – Auburn Hills

Auburn Hills, trained by Josie Carroll, has been working up a storm since returning from the Fair Grounds. The chestnut colt’s work back on May 23 was in a rapid 1:12.20b and his works since have been very quick.

Saturday, Race 6 – Peace of Ekati

Peace of Ekati, trained by Ashlee Brnjas, has been out-working company rather handily. His June 7 work in 1:01 featured a big rally — he defeated his workmates that went in 1:02.40.

Saturday, Race 7 – Muchokova

Muchokova worked for Tony Gattellaro on May 30 in :59.80, out in 1:12.60. He picked a good spot for this ridgling’s seasonal debut.

Sunday, Race 4 – Merveilleux

Merveilleux worked for Kevin Attard on June 7 in :58.20b, out-working a pair by eight lengths. A three-year-old filly taking on older, but she should be up to the challenge.
