Clocker Report: Horses to watch this weekend

September 11, 2020

TORONTO, September 11, 2020 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri comments on some of the top workouts watched, highlighting horses to key in on for upcoming races at Woodbine.

Saturday, Race 3 – Hi Honey

Hi Honey worked for Ashlee Brnjas on August 21 on the turf training track with the dogs out in an easy 1:00.80, leaving the half-mile pole, galloping out very strongly. I’m willing to give this one a chance to hit the board in a contentious race. Will be a price.

Saturday, Race 6 – Secret Reserve

Secret Reserve worked for Mike Mattine on August 9 in :48.80 from the gate, out-working El Bayern. He is a touch green still in the a.m., but has talent.

Saturday, Race 8 – Gun Society

Gun Society worked for Roger Attfield on September 8 in :47.80 under a snug hold, beating mate Caira by a length. She has the imposing Afleet Katherine to deal with in the Bison City Stakes.

Sunday, Race 3 – Correlate

Correlate worked for Mark Casse in :49.80 breezing in company with Master Spy. They are in the same race but Correlate should offer better value.
