TORONTO, October 23, 2020 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri comments on some of the top workouts watched, highlighting horses to key in on for upcoming races at Woodbine. Friday, Race 5 – Red River Rebel Red River Rebel worked for Rachel Halden on September 26 in 1:01.20b in company with recent winner Jillie Marie. He has had different partners in the mornings but has never really been asked yet. Lots to like. Saturday, Race 5 – Diamond Ore Diamond Ore worked for Barb Minshall on October 10 in :48.60 in company with Dreaming of Drew (:48.40). Her last start was against two very tough horses; these should be more reachable at a decent price. Saturday, Race 8 – Fact Checking Fact Checking worked for Ian Howard on October 17 in a very rapid :47 coming off a third-place finish against the boys. She is in now against a tough Eyeinthesky, but the price will be very good. Sunday, Race 6 – Eagle Song (IRE) Eagle Song (IRE) worked for Kevin Attard on September 12 in :48, out in 1:00.20 with a final 3/8 in :34.80. He has had a multitude of good works since.
