TORONTO, August 30 – Rib enthusiasts flocked to the inaugural Woodbine Ribfest, presented by Budweiser, this past weekend (August 25-27) as the Toronto racetrack hosted five top rib teams from across North America. Produced in coordination with Ontario Festival Group, Woodbine Ribfest offered mouthwatering BBQ from Camp 31 BBQ, Billy Bones BBQ, Hawgs Gone Wild, Pistol Pete’s Oklahoma Smokehouse, and Uncle Sam’s BBQ. The three-day event also included live horse racing, music performances, festival food vendors, a beer garden, children’s play area with bouncy castles, and viewing of the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight in the Budweiser Paddock. Many of the rib teams added to their impressive trophy collections following a taste-testing competition: Judges’ Choice: Best Ribs – Hawgs Gone Wild BBQ Best Pulled Pork – Hawgs Gone Wild BBQ Best Sauce – Billy Bones BBQ People’s Choice: Best Ribs – Camp 31 BBQ Best Pulled Pork – Hawgs Gone Wild BBQ Best Sauce – Pistol Pete’s Oklahoma Smokehouse Woodbine would like to thank its sponsors and all of its fans that came out to enjoy the event.
