Aebly notched his fourth triumph courtesy of the Gail Cox-trained Hint, who solved the program’s ninth contest to break his maiden. Sent off as the 4-5 choice, The Big Con, with rider Sahin Civaci aboard, found a seam in the two-path straightening for the stretch drive and didn’t miss his window, delivering a blazing kick down the lane to seal his first stakes score by three-quarters of a length. Unbeaten through two starts thus far, the Miguel Clement charge has banked more than $85,000 for owners Reeves Thoroughbred Racing, Tony Weintraub, and Brandon Dalinka.
