Inside Track for November 8-9

November 10, 2025

A look at some of the top highlights from the past weekend of racing at Woodbine.

Coming up aces in the Autumn

Dresden Row not only continued his remarkable streak of finishing on the podium in every start, but also added a third graded stakes title with a classy performance in Saturday’s $150,000 HPIbet Autumn Stakes (G3) at Woodbine.

Sent off at 6-1 in the field of 11, Canada’s champion 3-year-old male settled into third as the first turn approached.

Still eyeing leaders Paramount Prince and Funtastic Again, Dresden Row made his move with 250 yards to the wire, taking control and never relenting for the 1 ¾-length decision.

Up to 6-5-4 from 15 starts for owners True North Stable (Keith Johns) and Bloom Racing Stable (Jeffrey Bloom), the 4-year-old chestnut has earned north of $448,000.

Dresden Row paid $15.40 for the Autumn victory.

Sultana stellar in Maple Leafs score

It was a dream graded stakes debut for Sultana, who delivered an impressive late strike to claim the $150,000 Maple Leaf (G3), Saturday at Woodbine.

Working with leading rider Rafael Hernandez, the dark bay daughter of Always Dreaming–Private Offering overcame a stutter-step start, grinding her way back into the 1 ¼-mile dash and saving enough runway to steal the top spot by a head.

Trained by Kevin Attard for Lou Donato, Theodore Manziaris, Paul Borrelli and Lanni Bloodstock, Sultana has compiled a 3-1-1 line during a formidable five-start rookie campaign.

At 5-1 in the Maple Leaf, Sultana paid $12.90.

Fit for a ‘Princess’

A regal outing from Ava’s Princess in Saturday’s fifth resulted in the rookie filly’s first win for her owner, and namesake, Ava Chircop.

Trained by Ava’s father Steven Chircop, Ava’s Princess got on the board with a gutsy front-leading effort under rider Jose Campos.

The elder Chircop purchased the chestnut daughter of Known Agenda–Silent Sinner for $12,000 at the 2025 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale.

Now with a triumph to go alongside a pair of third-place finishes, Ava’s Princess has banked $28,006 from four starts this season.

At 4-1, Ava’s Princess paid $10.60.
