TORONTO, August 14, 2025 – Woodbine Entertainment is once again bringing the social event of the summer to the heart of Toronto this Saturday when Sankofa Square (formerly Yonge-Dundas Square) is transformed into a King’s Plate Garden Party. The King’s Plate Garden Party will bring the excitement and elegance of Canada’s most prestigious horse race, and the first leg of the OLG Canadian Triple Crown, directly to the downtown core. The full card of races from Woodbine Racetrack will be broadcast on the screens around Sankofa Square, powered by Branded Cities. A viewing and lounging area will be created where guests can watch the races comfortably on the various screens all day. The King’s Plate Garden Party will make guests feel like they’re at the races. Activations include: Broadcast of the races from Woodbine Stella Artois Beer Garden (age 19+) Live DJ Food Trucks Wagering Zone with HPIbet and OLG.ca DIY Fascinator Station Interactive Games and Giveaways Photo Opportunities Admission to The King’s Plate Garden Party is free.
