TORONTO, September 8, 2025 – Woodbine Entertainment today released the probables for this Saturday’s (September 13) Turf Champions Day, featuring the Rogers Woodbine Mile (G1), bet365 Summer Stakes (G1) and Johnnie Walker Natalma Stakes (G1).

All three Grade 1 turf events are part of the Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” Challenge Series. With the E.P. Taylor Turf Course under renovation, this year’s Turf Champions Day will be contested on the bet365 Inner Turf Course.

Below is the list of probable starters for the Rogers Woodbine Mile.

(Horse-Trainer-Jockey)

Gas Me Up – Kevin Attard – Rafael Hernandez
Hunt Master – David Borsk – Eswan Flores
My Boy Prince – Mark Casse – Joel Rosario
Notable Speech (GB) – Charlie Appleby – William Buick
One Stripe (SAF) – Graham Motion – John Velazquez

Win for the Money – Mark Casse – Patrick Husbands
Wyoming Bill – Catherine Day Phillips – Frankie Dettori
Zulu Kingdom (IRE) – Chad Brown – Flavien Prat

Win for the Money would be looking to defend his Woodbine Mile crown. The Mark Casse trainee came up the rail for a 13-1 upset in the 2024 edition for jockey Patrick Husbands. The son of Mohaymen has recently run third in back-to-back starts at Saratoga (Grade 1 Fourstardave and Grade 3 Kelso).

Casse is also expected to send out My Boy Prince, who ran second in last year’s King’s Plate before tackling older rivals in the Mile. The son of Cairo Prince was fourth in the Grade 1 Fourstardave Stakes on August 2 at Saratoga.

Notable Speech (GB) could offer Godolphin, Charlie Appleby and William Buick a shot at winning their third Woodbine Mile since 2022. The prominent connections won in 2022 with Modern Games (IRE) and 2023 with Master of The Seas (IRE).

Chad Brown trainee Zulu Kingdom (IRE) would be looking for redemption after being disqualified in the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes (G2) on August 1 at Saratoga. The Grade 1 winner crossed the wire first but was placed back to fourth following a review of a first-turn incident. The three-year-old’s only other loss in eight starts was in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1).

One Stripe (SAF) appears poised to make his North America debut after arriving in the United States this past July under the care of trainer Graham Motion. The four-year-old won South Africa’s King’s Plate (G1) in January to secure a berth in this year’s Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1).

Kevin Attard student Gas Me Up was a recent winner of the Grade 2 bet365 King Edward Stakes on August 16. The five-year-old has won two of three starts this season and would offer Attard a chance at his second Woodbine Mile victory (2022, Starship Jubilee).

Stanley House would be looking to carry momentum from the first stakes win of his career in the Niagara (August 2) into the Mile. The Mike De Paulo trainee has run second in multiple graded stakes events, including the Dominion Day Stakes (G3) on June 28.

Wyoming Bill finished second last month in the Grade 2 bet365 King Edward Stakes. It was the first try in a graded stakes event for the four-year-old Catherine Day Phillips trainee.

Hunt Master could make his graded stakes debut in the Mile. The six-year-old for trainer David Borsk is a six-time winner from 30 career starts.
