TORONTO, June 27 – Tucci Stables will be represented by a pair of starters, Midnight Aria and River Seven, in the 154th consecutive edition of the Queen’s Plate to be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Woodbine. Midnight Aria, a long-striding son of Midnight Lute, was claimed in January for $35,000 at Gulfstream Park, and since arriving at Woodbine has posted a pair of third-place efforts in the Wando Stakes and Plate Trial. River Seven, a bay son of Johannesburg bred in Ontario by William D. Graham, captured the Grade 3 Grey Stakes in his final juvenile start. In his most recent start, the Plate Trial, River Seven stumbled badly from the gate en route to an eighth-place finish. On Thursday morning, the Nick Gonzalez trained duo worked in company with Midnight Aria taking the lead covering five-panels in :59.40 (best of 17 efforts on the day) as River Seven chased the pace to stop the clock in :59.80.
