TORONTO, November 18, 2017 – Each week, track announcer Robert Geller comments on some of the performances that caught his eye, highlighting horses to key in on for upcoming races at Woodbine. FRESH DREAMS (11-11-17, Race 6, No. 2, 1st) Even though there appeared to be a track bias for closers finishing wide out on this Saturday program, nothing should be taken away from the win by Fresh Dreams, who closed from off the pace in her debut to score well. The two-year-old filly took the length of the backstretch to find stride but was held up when she eventually did start to make her run. Her ability to accelerate on a dime was impressive as was her winning margin of 3-3/4 lengths after having circled the field. Trainer Robert Tiller has been successful all season in running up a score with his youngsters with Fresh Dreams another fresh face that could follow suit. TIMESKIP (11-12-17, Race 6, No. 4, 3rd) In his two lifetime starts, two-year-old Timeskip has shown steady progress. Closing ground off a slow break for fifth at five furlongs in his debut, he was a fast-finishing third to Pool Playa next out over six furlongs. After some traffic issues, Timeskip unleashed from the tail end of the field to be beaten less than three lengths by Pool Playa and in doing so, turned the tables on Poquito Bandito, a further half-length back in fourth. By Court Vision from Queen OftheDawn, trainer Renee Kierans should be presented with more options as distances extend and possibly turf in the future. It will be interesting to see whether the barn opts for some slight class relief or trusts that Timeskip can break the ice in a maiden special weight.
