TORONTO, December 14, 2019 – Following the first three races, Woodbine Racetrack was forced to cancel the remainder of Saturday’s 12-race card due to inclement weather conditions in the Toronto area. Woodbine cancelled the remainder of the card after the jockeys held a vote in accordance with rule 3.15 in the AGCO Thoroughbred rule book and voted in favour of not continuing to race following the third race. Closing day of the 2019 Thoroughbred meet gets underway at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, with 192 horses entered to compete in 16 races, making it the biggest race card Woodbine Racetrack has held in recent history.
