May 10, 2019

TORONTO, May 10, 2019 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri comments on some of the top workouts watched, highlighting horses to key in on for upcoming races at Woodbine.

[Track ratings based on a scale of 1-5 with ‘1’ being the slowest.]

Friday, Race 6 – Vividari

Vividari worked for Laurie Silvera in :23.40b on May 4 and galloped away very smoothly. This short distance specialist is on top of his game.

Saturday, Race 6 – Hold’emforransom

Hold’emforransom worked for Ian Black on May 4 in 1:01.80, out in 1:13.80, home in :23.8. He’s had good back-to-back works. He is in a sprint and may enjoy a longer distance, but could surprise here at a generous price.

Saturday, Race 8 – Summer Sunday

Summer Sunday worked for Stu Simon on May 4 in :59.20, out in a sparkling 1:11.40 with ease. She has been working up a storm here and Palm Meadows as well – looks fit.

Sunday, Race 10 – Painting

Painting worked for Josie Carroll on April 20 in 1:00 flat. She has come back with a couple of gate refreshers. The key to this one is Da Silva has been aboard in the mornings.
