Clocker Report: Horses to watch this weekend

TORONTO, September 14, 2018 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri comments on some of the top workouts watched, highlighting horses to key in on for upcoming races at Woodbine.

[Track ratings based on a scale of 1-5 with ‘1’ being the slowest.]

Saturday, Race 2 – Silencium

Perri said: “Silencium worked for Robert Tiller on September 9 in an easy :48.60 before the break on a slow track rated 2. He previously worked with Jungle Fighter on a couple of occasions.”

Saturday, Race 3 – Dynatown

Perri said: “Dynatown worked for Mark Casse on August 19 in 1:00.40, out-working Serengeti Cat by a length. She has been beat company in recent works as well.”

Saturday, Race 7 – Dreams Are Free 

Perri said: “Dreams Are Free worked on September 1 for Catherine Day Phillips in :47, out-working Chestnut Grove and Bobby Bittman (both :48.20) after the break on a slow track rated 2.”

Sunday, Race 7 (Grade 1 Natalma Stakes) – Artilena 

Perri said: “Artilena worked on September 8 for Catherine Day Phillips in :59.60, out-working Tiz Breathtaking by five lengths on the main track turf with the dogs well out.”
