Clocker Report: Horses to watch this weekend

October 19, 2018

TORONTO, October 19, 2018 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri comments on some of the top workouts watched, highlighting horses to key in on for upcoming races at Woodbine.

[Track ratings based on a scale of 1-5 with ‘1’ being the slowest.]

Friday, Race 2 – Airy Fairy

Perri said: “Airy Fairy worked for Earl Barnett on October 7 in :47 breezing very easily. She followed up with a work in :50.60 breezing on the 13th of October on the turf list as ‘good’ with the dogs out – second fastest of nine that morning.”

Sunday, Race 8 – Solidify

Perri said: “Solidify worked for Reade Baker on October 14 in 1:00 breezing on the training track that was very slow and deep that day. His work was eight lengths better than the next work with a turn speed of :22.60. Nashtrick will take a lot of money, but this one will be a decent alternative.”

Other horses to note that also worked well recently:

Saturday, Race 2 – Corduroy Road

Saturday, Race 12 – Hold’emforransom
