TORONTO, August 15, 2024 – The 165th running of The King’s Place is set to broadcast nationally on Sportsnet and Citytv this Saturday from Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto. The two-hour broadcast will begin at 4:30 p.m. (ET) and bring viewers comprehensive coverage of Canada’s most prestigious horse race, the first jewel in the OLG Canadian Triple Crown. The broadcast will include live racing, feature stories, betting analysis, interviews with participants and a look at the various parties taking place across Woodbine and Toronto. Anna Dua and Mark McKelvie will serve as hosts, with longtime NHL player/broadcaster and notable network racing analyst Eddie Olczyk joining the on-air crew to provide betting breakdowns alongside Rob Conway. Reporter Brodie Lawson will cover the action from the walking ring to the winner’s circle, while Lauren Howe and Summer Mortimer will report live from Woodbine’s Hats & Horseshoes and Homestretch Patio parties. Alanna Nolan will be on horseback to interview the winning jockey and provide insights from the racetrack. The live broadcast will also look in on The King’s Plate Garden Party in Sankofa Square (formerly Yonge-Dundas Square).
